On the Mountain

On the mountain of the Lord
All the saints were singing.
Dressed in glory not their own
Praises to Him bringing.

For a world of debtors
Jesus paid the ransom.
All who wore the blood washed robes
Sang the glorious anthem.

They were singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord!”
They were singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord!”

Suffering in Jesus’ name
Enduring every trial
Trusting in the lamb once slain
They overcame denial.

Fools in the eyes of man
Now are given honor.
Bended knees and strengthened hands
Lift the royal banner.

They were singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord!”
They were singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord!”

Dare I think that I could boast
To stand amid that number.
By the power of Jesus Christ
I know that I belong there.

While the years shall ever roll
Feasting at the table
In a garment made by love
God has made me able.

So I’m singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord!”
So I’m singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord!”

(Maybe shouldn’t mess with the classics, but this is an adaptation of the great song, “On Zion’s Glorious Summit Stood”)
